Our history
Back in 1951-1952, Bortolo Zagonel, an internationally renowned mountain guide, together with his wife and children, Gisella and Michele, opened the bar “La Montanara.” This cozy place, which started out as a simple bar, was transformed over time first into a guesthouse, then into a hotel, and finally into a Modern B&B with cocktail terrace and small burger bistro. From its humble beginnings, the hotel is now a retreat with 31 spacious rooms, all furnished in perfect mountain style, with a breathtaking view of the Pale di San Martino. Here you will find every comfort to enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation and leisure, immersed in the enchanting landscape of San Martino di Castrozza.
